He studied Communications Electronics Maintenance and served his tour overseas at USMC Camp Fuji Japan. After serving his tour, and being honorably discharged, he returned to Japan, studied Japanese, and taught English for 3 1/2 years. In 1991 he left Tsukuba City, Japan and moved to the Big Island of Hawaii, where he continued his diving career. After living on the Big Island for a year he moved to Maui where he has lived for the past 26 years. Capt. Keith is a US Marine Corps veteran and a chronic pain patient for over 20 years. He knows exactly what these veterans are going through, having suffered from chronic pain, chronic depression, and addiction for over 20+ years. He knew there was a better way to take care of the men and women that served our country so proudly. The City of Refuge was a holistic vision that he and his father came up with to help all veterans quickly, compassionately, and effectively.
In December 2014, before his father Capt. “Red” Lambert passed away, Capt. Keith promised his father to follow through, and build a holistic healing center for all veterans on the island of Maui.

Jay M. Williams
Board Member

Aloha, my name is Jay Williams. I am 44 years old, and live on Maui and run a medicinal herb farm I created that has over 80 different plant species, that have been healing humans for thousands of years. I have been studying and practicing herbal medicine since I was 9 years old. I also was given insights towards spirituality at a very young age. My passion now is to help inspire human beings to awaken to their full self empowerment. We can all thrive on this planet if we have a purpose that gives true meaning to life and allows for our hearts to grow open and healthy. I am also very passionate about healing with plant based medicines and using our own minds to reprogram ourselves to be happier, healthier, and aware citizens of this beautiful planet. I am excited to be chosen to be on the board, and to share what I know with veterans who are trying to heal from the effects of war. May they all find peace in their hearts and souls.
